One Enclosure, Perfectly Split
The Problem
When Salon 718 moved into 442 Atlantic Avenue in January 2026, the building already had a trash bin out front — but it wasn’t doing the job. Property owner Jeannette King and her new salon tenant had to figure out together how to efficiently manage waste while keeping their storefront looking beautiful on one of Brooklyn’s busiest commercial corridors.
The Solution
They landed on a two module CITIBIN trash enclosure in charcoal and split it down the middle. The salon uses one half for their store, and the upstairs residential tenants use the other. One unit, shared cost, two waste streams contained. To further elevate their facade, they added CITIBIN's Built-In Planter to the top. Form and function that meets the needs of both the property owner and the salon.
“We’re very happy how it worked out and think it looks great too.”
— Jeannette King, Property Owner
