Yes. CITIBIN is available as a ready-to-assemble kit, and ships by ground freight in the continental United States. Currently, CITIBIN shipping is free within New York City's 5 Boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island). To take advantage of free shipping, please contact us at 347-549-4121. We also ship internationally at a cost.

To ensure a successful package delivery into your PARCELBIN, we recommend that you create accounts with the three most popular carriers (UPS, USPS, FedEx). This will ensure that they have the information needed to safely deliver your packages into your PARCELBIN.
Once your account is created, make sure you edit your account preferences to include a specific delivery location and access code.

Yes. We designed the CITIBIN kit to be easy to assemble, a la IKEA. All you need is the instruction manual, allen key, Phillips screwdriver, and a helper. A video tutorial will be available shortly, as well.

Does CITIBIN require much maintenance?
No. Unlike wood that needs to be cleaned and sealed regularly, the CITIBIN is very low maintenance. All that’s needed is a bit of standard cleaning. The bamboo siding will not warp, crack, or rust like wood, plastic, or metal enclosures.

Yes! Our Standard and XL enclosures come with a "Trash and Recycling" powder coated metal sign bundle for every module purchased.
Our PARCELBIN enclosures also come with a "Deliveries and Carriers" sign bundle.

Yes. We are designing enclosures for parcel boxes, food and dry cleaning delivery, strollers, bikes, and backyard storage. Let us know what you have in mind. We welcome customer input in design and participation in beta-testing new CITIBIN products.

For PARCELBIN, you can use any combination padlock or electronic lock, such as a Kitlock from our partner CodeLocks. To learn more about Kitlock, click here.

Our Standard and XL enclosures come outfitted with a hasp which enables you to use any padlock. We also offer custom locking mechanism upon request.*

Warranty
What is the warranty?
What is the warranty?
CITIBIN guarantees its products to be free from defects in material, functionality and
craftsmanship for a period of TWO YEARS from the day of customer delivery and/or
installation, under normal use within the specified limitation and capacity. The warranty does
not cover theft and shall not apply to defects caused by vandalism, negligence, accident,
tampering, improper use, modification or any causes unrelated to defective material and
workmanship.
The CitiBin warranty is extended solely to the original purchaser and is
non-transferable.
Covered parts under this TWO-YEAR warranty include so-called “moving parts”

It is reasonable and customary for “moving parts” to require maintenance after a period of two years; CITIBIN can accommodate any need for moving parts replacement after the two-year warranty period for a fee.
While CitiBin can and has been successfully used as a barrier to rodents, we do not guarantee that it will eradicate an existing rodent problem. Rodent infestations tend to be caused by poor trash hygiene, such as not closing bags and not securing lids, which CitiBin does not solve. We reserve the right to assess the nature of any reported defects within the warranty period and determine the best course of action to remedy the defects. This warranty excludes surface scratches caused by normal wear and tear and slight color fading due to exposure to the elements.
